There are by some estimates, well over three million children orphaned in the nation of Sudan. As Iris Sudan expands and continues to plant churches in new communities, the majority of the children we care for will be in our developing In Community Care program.

A hallmark of Iris's unique DNA is its understanding of the spiritual realities of adoption. Each church we plant, will have a simply locally constructed home attached for a mama and 10-12 children that the pastor is responsible for overseeing. We will help supplement food as is possible.

Iris is a faith mission and all pastors who work with us trust God for their support and sustenance as we all do. Of course we help as we are able to.

This methodology allows children to stay in their own cultural context and community in a family environment.
